This year's Christmas projects were a huge success, a big thank you to all those who participated, especially the Elves and Reindeer.

Here some photographs for you,

The projects were:

Post Pals ran 4 projects this Christmas, with the hope of spreading lots of festive smiles! They are all of varying degree to commitment, so there should be something to suit everyone.

Elf Project- As an elf, you will be assigned to a Pal. As Elf asks around friends, family, local groups, churches etc (or can do it themselves), and ask people when they are out shopping to pick up an extra gift. Then gather than together, and take a picture of yourself with them (green tights, tunic and turned up shoes optional ;)), then the gifts are shipped out to the Pal in December, to be greeted with lots of smiles! We will ask the parents when possible if a photograph can be taken of the Pal opening the parcels, and so we can have an "Elf and Recipient Gallery" a hugely rewarding project, but with more commitment than any of the others.

Reindeer Project - Now Dasher, Now Dancer.. As a Reindeer you will be assigned to a Pal, please send 8 separate cards, one from each Reindeer, you can write as little or as much as you like, but from the reindeers perspective, i.e. talk of it being cold, your busy day coming up, that the sleigh is getting full. Again a project, which does require some level of commitment, but a great fun project to be involved in!

Christmas Decoration - If you would like to be involved in a Christmas project but can't commit, then this is the one for you!! There are so many lovely decorations in the shops these days, which would brighten a Pals room up, regardless of if; they are in hospital or at home. As little or as much time can be put into this, you could just buy a pretty decoration (they can be picked up for as little as 25p), and send, or you could personalise one, with glitter, writing, confetti/sequins etc, or even make one from scratch, www.yellowmoonuk.co.uk have lots of craft materials, and several different kits to make various decorations, and if you quote the code SPO1228 when ordering, up to 25% will be donated to Post Pals (if you would like a catalogue, please email info@postpals.co.uk). You could also send the materials to a Pal to make their own, i.e. paper strips to be made into chains, or glitter glues to decorate a bulbul with. Often Christmas decorations are sold in packs of 6 or 10, so you could send to each Pal if you wish.

Christmas Card - the most simple, and quickest way of making a difference. Everyone ends up with a few cards left over after writing ones to friends and family at Christmas, please consider sending a few more to some Pals.

If you would like more information or are interested in getting involved, please email viks@postpals.co.uk

Wishing you a Merry Christmas
