Menkes Syndrome

Menkes syndrome is a disorder that affects copper levels in the body which causes kinky hair, failure to thrive and deterioration of the nervous system. It can also cause weak muscle tone, sagging facial features, seizures and developmental delays. There is no cure and children often don’t live past the age of 3.
